Overview
The Arbol platform enables institutions to:
- Authenticate users through Single Sign-On (SSO) integration
- Import student enrollment and billing/financial aid data
- Track student balances and financial attrition risk
- Automate data synchronization via scheduled CSV ingestion over SFTP.

Initial Setup Steps
- Configure Authentication - Set up SAML 2.0 SSO with your identity provider.
- Test Authentication - Our guided walkthrough helps you test the critical path, then full authentication user flow.
- Review Data Formats - Understand import requirements and download templates
- Test Your Data Pipeline - Start with a small batch to validate end to end data mapping.
- Import Users & Billing Data - Import any students(s) to your instance for a term or more along with their financial aid information.
- Enable SFTP - Configure SFTP for ongoing updates. You can send the entire set or just the changes.
Platform Sections
Authentication
Configure Single Sign-On to allow staff and students to access Arbol using your existing login system. Our SAML 2.0 integration works with all major identity providers.
Data Management
Import and manage student enrollment and billing data through multiple channels:
- User Import - Student account creation and management
- School Bill Import - Comprehensive billing and financial aid data
- SFTP Automation - Scheduled automatic imports
Routine Operations
Once configured, your routine tasks include:
- Monitor Imports - Review processing status in the import history
- Manage Data - Update student and billing information as needed

- Always import users before bills to ensure all users exist.
- Use UTF-8 encoding for all CSV files
